I loved the post too. I certainly agree that some things like toilet paper cannot be replaced by tech devices. However, that was not the thing that struck me most. In the video, they have shown people are making ridiculous devices. Research and development money is not being invested in a proper way. Rather than spending money on kissing device, companies should be investing on something that is more useful and has a significance attached to it.
I agree with Utsav. It's interesting to see where people who have money to invest and innovate choose to put it sometimes. Especially since some of those products are destine to fail from the start. Just goes to show how humans opt for the easy entertainment or easy money rather than thinking more long run and socially beneficial.
